Generative AI’s Act Two (Sequoia Capital)
Here's a quick summary of the key points from Sequoia Capital's piece on the evolution of generative AI. (Article)
Sequoia sees generative AI entering a new era focused on real value over hype. 🤖
Act 1 was flashy demos, Act 2 will solve full human problems. ✅
Early wins like ChatGPT but retention is still low. 📉
Playbook emerging to improve model quality and UIs. 💡
Next wave is multimodal apps and "agentic systems." 🤖
Need patience despite hype; focus on sustainable value. 🚀

5 ways to use ChatGPT to improve the last recruiting InMail you sent (Robin Choy)
See some useful tips here from Robin Choy, on how to spice up your LinkedIn inmails:
1️⃣ - Refine your tone:
“Can you rewrite this LinkedIn message in a casual, authentic, and straightforward way? It’s shouldn’t feel generic, and it should be different from other recruiting messages”
2️⃣ - Remove all fluffy bullshit wording:
“Can you remove all the generic, fluffy, “recruiting” wording from this LinkedIn message?”
3️⃣ - Identify gender-specific language and other biases:
“Here’s a LinkedIn message - can you pinpoint which parts are likely to be biased against a minority or underrepresented group?”
4️⃣ - Make it shorter (most LinkedIn messages are way too long):
“Can you rewrite this LinkedIn message to make it 30% shorter while keeping most of the information?”
5️⃣ - Simulate candidates response:
“Here is a recruiting LinkedIn outreach message. You are a person and you received that message, you’re on the fence about answering. What’s lacking in that message that could make you answer?”
