TLDR: Apple’s new AI features will give consumers a reason to upgrade to the newest iPhone / Mac
Apple has unveiled significant AI upgrades across its devices, enhancing functionality and user experience. Here are five features you'll actually use:
ChatGPT Integration:
OpenAI’s ChatGPT can assist with creative content, writing help, and brainstorming in apps like Siri, Mail, and Pages.
AI-Enhanced Siri:
Siri can now access app data and describe what's on your screen, making more complex requests possible, such as scheduling emails or providing real-time flight information.
AI-Assisted Writing Tools:
New writing tools can summarize, edit, proofread, and adjust the tone of your text, offering options for a more friendly, professional, or concise style.
Image Generation:
The Image Playground app can generate images from descriptions, including custom emojis called “Genmoji,” enhancing apps like Messages and Keynote.
Real-Time Call Transcripts:
Notes and Phone apps now include the ability to record, transcribe, and summarize phone calls, notifying participants when recording starts.
These features will be available this fall on devices running iOS 18, iPadOS 18, or macOS Sequoia, limited to the latest Apple devices.
