Quick AI update
👋 The competition in the AI space is heating up. It’s not always about you ChatGPT.
Google has just released its answer to ChatGPT - Bard. (We’ll also take a look at Anthropic’s model, Claude later in the newsletter). I’ve done some early testing myself on Bard and the results are patchy (for live web search stuff anyways!), but nice to see some competition in the space. The big differences between Bard and ChatGPT are:
1️⃣ Internet Search: While ChatGPT is still stuck in the pre-search era, Bard has a real-time internet connection. 🌐 (Note: ChatGPT does have a plug-in that can access the web, but it is not widely available yet)
2️⃣ Voice Input: Bard supports voice input, allowing users to interact through speech instead of typing.
3️⃣ Exporting Generated Text: In just two clicks, you can save or send the generated text, including the option to export it as an email.
We may see some fists flying soon. 🥊 (Real footage of Sundar Pichai and Sam Altman below)
In this week’s newsletter, we look at:
🗣 Anthropic’s: Claude has had its context window upgraded to 100,000 tokens - Ever on ChatGPT and hit the dreaded: ‘The message you submitted was too long, please reload the conversation and submit something shorter.’?Well fear no more.
📊 Poll: Your company’s approach to AI-powered tools? The results are in.

💻 Anthropic: Introducing 100k Context Windows
Anthropic says it has vastly expanded the amount of information its generative AI, Claude, is able to process. 🧮
Claude has gone from having a limit of 9,000 tokens to 100,000 tokens, which corresponds to roughly 75,000 words. You’ll no longer be hitting the dreaded ‘message too long’ error. GPTs current token limit is 4096.
You have to request access to try Claude, which you can do here.
📊 AI in recruiting Polls: Which statement best summarises your company’s approach to AI-powered tools?
To help recruiters understand where they stand vs. the rest of the pack when it comes to adopting AI, we are running a series of polls, the first of which has just closed.
We asked recruiters where their company stood with respect to the adoption of AI tooling. The results are in…. 🥁🥁🥁
Looks like most companies are in the ‘actively considering’ to ‘critical to adapt’ phase. It’s hard to ignore AI at the moment, so these results don’t come as much of a surprise!

🤖 AI will help us lead more human-centric lives. Here's why (World Economic Forum)
Check out this article from the World Economic Forum about how AI can actually help us lead more human-centric lives vs. less. Key points below:
1️⃣ AI's Evolution: Like previous tech revolutions, we may experience short-term disruption followed by improvements.
2️⃣ A Taste of Fast Food: Just as fast food didn't eliminate fine dining, AI won't replace human expertise—it will spark a demand for unique human skills.
3️⃣ IQ vs. EQ: AI may triumph in IQ, but emotional intelligence (EQ) with qualities like empathy and kindness remains our human superpower.
4️⃣ Curiosity & Creativity: Our innate curiosity and creativity separate us from AI, driving innovation and fresh perspectives.
5️⃣ AI as a Tool: Rather than fearing AI, we can embrace it as a tool to enhance productivity, upgrade ourselves, and lead more human-centric lives. 🛠️🚀
